This Author is Spreading her Creative Wings
A few Saturdays ago, I decided to spread my creative wings. My husband and I decided it was a good day to purchase a new grill.
The old grill is restingĀ behind our shed. It was good to our family. It produced tender chicken breasts, juicy burgers, and scrumptious ribs.
Hence, the word produced. As in past tense. It was time to retire and let her live out her time in that big grill in the sky.
We debated on having Lowes staff put it together for us, but that would mean leaving our purchased grill there and picking it
up in two or three days.
We wanted burgers that night!
Within minutes, we had the grill loaded up in the back of his truck and drove home.
I never knew there were so many pieces to put together. Why did I promise to help my husband put it together? I could be
inside editing, writing, blogging, surfing the internet, promoting my novels, ‘Paisley Memories‘ and ‘Dancing with Dandelions‘,
network marketing, giving the dogs a bath, or taking a nap.
Anything sounded better than sitting on the asphalt in the hot garage putting that blasted grill together.
We sweated, we laughed, we screwed pieces on backwards and then corrected it.
HALF WAY THROUGH!
THE FINISHED PRODUCT
I didn’t get any writing or editing done, the dogs didn’t get a bath, I soaked in the tub with Epsom salt, but in the end, we
feasted on these!
Don’t you love happy endings? I sure do.
